I had forgotten there were stars

Kassie and I are vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the
stars are breathtaking. The cities of man blot them out with the
overpowering glow of artificiality. I wonder what other wonders of
creation I am missing. How beautiful the Gerhardt hymn is: "And we
this marvel seeing Forget our selfish being For joy of beauty not our
own."

I'm curious -- could you see the Milky Way? I've only been able to see it when my family and I went vacationing out in Colorado. You can really wee why they called it the Milky Way.
