Substituting for "papists"?

In FC SD X.5, we confess the following: "Nor do we include among truly free adiaphora or things indifferent those ceremonies which give or (to avoid persecution) are designed to give the impression that our religion does not differ greatly from that of the papists, or that we are not seriously opposed to it" (Tappert, p611).

Could we not abstract from this a principle that we do not use ceremonies, or forms of worship, that give the impression that our religion does not differ greatly from that of the Baptists, or the Methodists, or the Pentecostals, or Joel Osteen, or Willow Creek, or Saddleback? Granted, that is not the context of the Formula - but is that a fair principle to draw from this?

I think that is the logical extension. Section X also includes the example of forbidding adiaphora if it is used for introducing error later. Both are pertinent points for every age. Rhetorically, why do we do "pentecostal"/ "baptist" things with programs like Ablaze?
